Getting Started
This guide helps new users buy $WUD, play the WUD games, and enter WUD Universe. Follow these steps to get started quickly on desktop or mobile.

Buying $WUD
$WUD is a Polkadot-native memecoin designed for games, NFTs, and community interaction.
Purchase $WUD through Hydration DEX or other supported exchanges.
Make sure your wallet (SubWallet, Nova Wallet, Talisman) is ready before buying.
How to Buy WUD
Buy WUD on gavunwud.com
- Open the Trade page and click Connect at the top of any page.
- Choose Nova Wallet, SubWallet, Talisman or Polkadot.js and approve the connection.
- Enter the amount of DOT to swap, or drag the slider. The quote is read live from the Hydration pool.
- Review the minimum received and the fee, click Buy, and sign in your wallet.
The Trade page also moves $WUD between Hydration and Asset Hub, sends $WUD to another wallet, and links to the liquidity pool. The Get started tab explains the safety rules, including the 20,000 $WUD minimum balance on Hydration.
Buy WUD on Hydration DEX
- Open the Hydration swap page (pre-set to swap DOT for WUD).
- Click Connect Wallet and choose your Polkadot wallet extension (SubWallet or Talisman).
- Make sure you hold DOT on Hydration (deposit or cross-chain transfer it in if needed).
- Enter the amount of DOT to swap; the WUD amount is calculated automatically.
- Review the rate and fees, click Swap, and sign the transaction in your wallet.
Buy WUD on Nova Wallet
- Download and set up Nova Wallet on your phone, and fund it with DOT.
- Open the in-app browser / dApps tab and open Hydration.
- Connect your Nova account and select DOT → WUD on the swap screen.
- Enter the amount, confirm the swap, and approve the transaction.
Buy WUD on SubWallet
- Install SubWallet (browser extension or mobile app), create or import an account, and fund it with DOT.
- Open the Hydration swap page (on mobile, via SubWallet's in-app browser).
- Connect SubWallet, enter the DOT amount to swap for WUD.
- Click Swap and approve the transaction in SubWallet.
Buy WUD on Talisman Wallet
- Install the Talisman browser extension, create or import an account, and fund it with DOT.
- Open the Hydration swap page and connect Talisman.
- Enter the DOT amount to swap for WUD.
- Click Swap and approve the transaction in Talisman.
Entering WUD Universe & Minting a Cabin
WUD Universe is a gamified digital identity project built on Unique Network and Polkadot. Your cabin is your starting point in this living ecosystem.
On PC
- Visit wuduniverse.xyz.
- Connect your Polkadot wallet (SubWallet, Talisman).
- Mint your cabin for 10 DOT.
On Mobile
- Open Nova Wallet or SubWallet.
- Access the WUD Universe app within the wallet (standard mobile browsers will not work).
- Connect your wallet and mint your cabin.
- You must hold $WUD to keep your cabin. Selling all $WUD removes access to the cabin, but you keep any items earned.
- Some transactions require UNQ tokens for fees.
- Collect items through games, quests, campaigns, and airdrops.
- Customize your cabin with Nested NFTs, trade items on the WUD Universe marketplace, and explore other cabins.
Playing Flappy WUD
Play Flappy WUD on PC or mobile. Flappy WUD 3.0, Jam Edition is on the way; the steps below cover the live game.
On PC
- Visit: flappywud.lol
- Connect using one of the following wallets:
- Start playing.
On Mobile
- Download Nova Wallet or SubWallet.
- Open the in-app browser.
- Navigate to: flappywud.lol
- Alternatively, find Flappy WUD under the Gaming dApps tab.
- Connect your wallet and play.
